What plan?

I had a plan this week, I have a plan most weeks. Reflecting on this past week though I can't tell if that plan I had, went out the window minutes or seconds after I came up with it. Spanish class has started back up so I was planning on using those as my "anchor" points and then focus on some of the long term projects going on. Instead this week was quite the opposite and had me feeling a bit like an octopus playing the drums.
I like plans, plans make me comfortable, but I'm getting better about just juggling everything that comes at me in the moment. This week those things included multiple "hey can you take a look at my car?" moments. Repairing a truck that first required repairing the vehicle lift in the shop before the truck could be repaired. Culminating with talking to another person here on the phone and in real time the conversation getting derailed with a "uhhh...our washing machine just quit working. Can you come look at it"?
The good news is that we managed it all. Problems were solved, minimal problems had to be pushed off until later. It just wasn't what I had in mind for this week, and that's ok.

Chase is the director of the Children's Home and who I was on the phone with when the unplanned need for a washing machine arose. Thankfully we have 10 newly donated speed queen washers down here (the commercial top load kind you find at a laundromat). When we arrived at the childrens home with the one of those washers I started looking around for a "Carrito" to move the washer since they weigh about 200lbs. I couldn't find one so I went back to the truck thinking we'd have to run back to maintenance to get one. When I came around the corner two of the older boys from the children's home were already carrying it by hand and half way to the laundry room with it. Guess they were anxious to do some laundry and I didn't need the carrito after all.
Keep after it
