Deciding Jesus

A song was stuck in my head yesterday. "I have decided to follow Jesus..." I sang and hummed on repeat. Pretty sure I drove Jake crazy. But for a good reason, it's my baptism song, and yesterday Danely chose to be baptised.

She had bows in her hair for the occasion.

Danely laughs with her whole body. Nothing is held back. She came up from the water and the air was filled with her joy. Even with the crowd clapping and cheering, her laugh was greater.

We have gone in the direction of non-surgical management for Danely. She has started one medication and thus far is tolerating it well. The second had to be specially ordered and arrived today to the hospital, unfortunately, the wrong medication had been shipped. So a search for the correct medication has been launched. Thank you for your prayers for Danely thus far. Hopefully this second medication can be located and started soon, and she tolerates it as well as the first one.

The caregivers at the Children's Home have started having discussions with Danely as well as with the other kids. What is cancer, for example. Despite being 18, Danely does not have much understanding. But for her to start expressing her desire for baptism, and confessing her desire to have Jesus in her heart... perhaps she understands more than we know.

"I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back, no turning back."

Much Love.
